The blow molding machines utilized in the production of plastic plugs are designed to process raw plastic materials by heating them to a plasticized state, thereby rendering them moldable into desired shapes. The material is then introduced into a mold and blow-molded into a finished product. This method is primarily employed for the high-speed, high-volume production and processing of BOPP bottles-as well as the PET plastic bottles commonly used today-and is technically referred to as the "two-step process."
During the processing of plastic plugs, the blow molding technique can also be integrated with injection molding to create a "single-stage injection-stretch-blow molding machine." This represents a widely adopted method for manufacturing PET containers. Furthermore, blow molding can be combined with extrusion processes; extrusion blow molding equipment offers a significantly broader scope of application and enables the production of a more diverse range of products. These products include multi-layer films and various hollow polyolefin containers, which find extensive application across the pharmaceutical, cosmetics, and food industries.
Based on the manufacturing workflow for plastic plugs, plastic processing machinery can be broadly categorized into four main groups: plastic compounding machinery, plastic molding machinery, plastic secondary processing machinery, and auxiliary plastic processing machinery (or devices). Plastic compounding machinery is utilized to manufacture various forms and types of plastic compounds; this typically involves the combined operation of equipment such as pelletizers, screening machines, and crushers.
Plastic molding machinery-often referred to as "primary plastic processing machinery"-is primarily dedicated to shaping plastic semi-finished goods or finished products. This category encompasses compression molding machines, injection molding machines, extruders, as well as calendering machines and foaming machines. Plastic secondary processing machinery is employed for the further processing and post-treatment of plastic semi-finished goods. These machines excel in post-treatment and reprocessing applications, facilitating highly rationalized processing workflows-including logical equipment configurations-that serve to enhance operational robustness and boost overall work efficiency.
